| A Chocolate female Simkyn Cantelina enters
the line now. She was born on 29 January
1986. She was bred by Mrs Kathleen Hiscox
(Simkyn) and first owned by Carmen
Bachelier (Giselle), then by Freda Upton
(Uptomalian).
F3 Bred with Abysomal Ambrose, Simkyn
Cantilena gave a Usual Tortie Uptomalian
Ceilidh. She was bred to Uptomalian
Baileys (F4) and from the resulting litter
born on 29 May 1992, Freda Upton had
Vestisler Ceilidh, a Blue Tortie Silver that
carried Chocolate. |
|
F4 Vestisler was Lucy Warwick’s prefix
and Vestisler Ceilidh had the distinction
of being the first cat to bring together
all three of the rare colours – Chocolate
Series, Red Series and Silver Series.
That is unless Uptomalian Baileys carried
Chocolate which is possible.
No record has been found of any Red Series Abys bred by Freda Upton from Vestisler Ceilidh although there were Chocolate Series descendants. Doreen Healey bought Vestisler Ceilidh when Freda was retiring from breeding.
Doreen’s line was originally called
Pineridge in Canada (and later in the UK)
and Pinegrove (for much of the UK lineage). |
